Welcome to EUBC, one of the biggest and best badminton clubs in Edinburgh!
This year is a better time than ever to be part of our club. Having grown massively in recent years, we are tremendously proud to say we were awarded the Lillywhite Shield for Club of the Year 2021-22!
We offer badminton for all abilities so whether you have never held a racket and wanting to try out a new sport or are a regular club player, our club is for you.

Recreational
For those of you seeking for casual play, we have regular club sessions twice weekly:
- Wednesday, 18:00-22:00 @ Pleasance Sports Hall (please note that the session on 17th January is at St Leonard's Land, Games Hall)
- Saturday, 09:00-12:00 @ St Leonard’s Land, Games Hall
These sessions are open to all club members, regardless of ability level. Shuttles will be provided. We also provide rackets if you need to borrow one. Come along to one of our taster club sessions during Welcome Week to try out our club for free. More information can be found here.
Competitive
One a more competitive note, we have 6 mixed teams competing in the BUCS Scottish Leagues, making us the biggest and one of the best badminton clubs among the Scottish Universities. We also compete in the local Lothian League. If you fancy trying your luck for one of our teams, come along to trials on Saturday, 13th January 2024 @ Pleasance Sports Hall. Men’s team trials will be from 16:00-17:30 and women’s team trials will be from 17:30-19:00.
*Attendance to team trainings are by invitation only. Please attend Trials during Welcome Week to have a shot at being selected for one of our six teams!
Socials
We also do socials throughout the year! We have a range of different socials planned out for this year, including sober socials, so there will be something for everyone to look forward to. To kick off the year, we will be organising our annual Families Social, where you will get a chance to meet the many amazing members of the club and make new lifelong friends.
