Volunteer Hours Project
The volunteer hours project has been introduced to track the volunteering hours of all committee members of sports clubs. Through this we aim to get an accurate record of how many hours each committee member and coach across all sports clubs invests in their sport. The end goal with this is to be able to put into a physical number the hours that our volunteers contribute towards sport at Edinburgh so that we can show the University the value of sport and hopefully get more funding for sport.
To get involved, simply submit this form weekly with your volunteer hours of the week. As a thank you for your time both volunteering and participating in the project, we have two reward schemes in place. These are based on how consistently and accurately you track your volunteering hours, helping us to build an accurate portfolio of volunteer hours over the year.
- Individual Rewards
- For each week that you track your hours, you will receive an entry ticket into a prize draw.
- This will be drawn at the end of each semester
- Prizes will include vouchers from places such as Potterrow, Greggs, Costa, etc.
- Club Rewards
- The club that has the highest percentage of their committee tracking their hours regularly will receive a prize at the end of the year, such as kit.
- This will be based on how consistently each committee member tracks their hours, fairly representing your committee regardless of size.
- Check out the leaderboard below to see how well your club is doing!
- This leaderboard will be updated every Monday at 3pm. Submissions after this time will still count but will not be reflected below until the following Monday.
