The Colour Run 2024

Join us on World Mental Health Day , for an explosion of colour, as we invite the whole university community to come together and take part in The Colour Run 2024.

The Colour Run is an untimed 5km event and will take place at Peffermill Playing Fields. It’s a fantastic opportunity to spend an hour outdoors, taking in fresh air, alongside hundreds of other people from the university. The 2.5km loop round the playing fields, allows you to soak up the wildlife haven of Wild Peffermill, whilst having a bit of fun with a splash of colour. You can complete the route at your own pace, by walking, jogging or running the 2.5km loop. Should you wish, you can even run it twice to complete the full 5km distance! Simply, it is about coming together to celebrate the joy of movement and exploring one of the five ways you can keep yourself mentally well.

What will participants get for signing up?

Alongside a fun, friendly, and colourful experience, all participants will receive a white t-shirt, a pair of sunglasses, and a small pack of coloured powder on arrival. The event is open to everybody at the University and is suitable for all abilities.

Event Route

So what to expect from the route? Located on the Peffermill Playing Fields, the 5km course will steer participants twice round the colourful edges of our Peffermill site, passing through vibrant colour stations and by friendly marshals along the way.
