Edinburgh University Judo Club provides high calibre coaching suitable for all; beginner, casual, or competitive, competing in both team and individual events at intermediate & experienced levels.
Judo is a Japanese martial art and Olympic sport which:
• Centers around throwing your opponent to the ground with a combination of strength, dexterity and technique.
• Includes a groundwork element which emphasizes armbars, chokes and pins.
• Gives you the opportunity to engage in genuine physical combat with your opponent.
• Combines strength, cardio and self-defense training for a fantastic all-round workout.
