At the Wakeboard and Water-Ski Club we are all about having a laugh & getting out on the water whether it be behind a boat, on a cable.
We believe in grabbing life; giving things a go and live by the motto:
'if you ain't falling, you ain't balling'
We are a of group of wakeboarders, waterskiiers and general water babies who are keen to get everyone out on the water to give wakeboarding a go and most importantly have a great time. The club caters for riders of every level; with great emphasis on encouraging newcomers and the option for seasoned riders looking to keep up their riding & hit some new obtacles and tricks.
WEEKLY SESSIONS:
How it works:
We usually ride on a Wednesday or Saturday.
When we have "sessions" available we release tickets on our SU website and links will go up on Facebook and Instagram and you can buy your ticket.
Once you have your ticket we will get your sign up info and give your club driver will get intouch with you and tell you when & where to meet them, you will hop in the car with other EUWWC riders and go off to either Foxlakes 40 mins or to Glasgow 1 hour to go and ride - and occasionally elsewhere throughout Scotland.
Each person has an allocated time on the cable and whilst your not riding you can get your own westuit and kit on; hang out and watch, eat, drink and do whatever floats your boat onsite. When everyone has completed their "sets" you will be driven back to Edinburgh to go home or head out for a beer or two althogether....
The ticket price includes transport to and from the park, equipment including wetsuits and your session on the water with an instructor - so all you need to bring is your swim stuff.
If you have a car and want to be a club driver you can ride for free which is a great incentive to sign up to that!! - get in touch if youre interested.
SOCIALS:
Every two weeks we meet up on dry land for some pints, dinners, quizzes and boogies amongst other fun excursions. It's a great way to meet new people in the club & get to know each other. The events will be published on our Instagram/Facebook page at the beginning of each week, so stay tuned to make sure you don't miss any nights of good fun!
TRIPS:
We have an annual weekend trip to Ardlui, Loch Lomond in October. It is a beautiful trip staying in cabins with hot tubs and saunas riding behind a boat where you can wakeboard, waterski or wakesurf. This trip has limited tickets and requires you to have bought membership to the club.
